[BARC-List] Taking Issue with Ham Radio

Good point. Not long ago, the FCC made it clear that outdoor antennas for
TV and satellite were protected and only the feds could regulate such
installations. Thus, landlords, hoeowner associations, and condo-nazis
could not tell a resident who did not wish to pay exhorbitant cable fees:
"If you don't like it, move!" Hams should be on an equal footing with
DishNetwork, and most of us who do live in such a place are willing to
compromise- give up the 50' tower and stacked tribander for a few wire
dipoles to maintain peace with our neighbours- but even a simple wire is
precluded in many places where Maoist conformity is enforced with an iron
fist.
