[BARC-List] Taking Issue with Ham Radio

Thanks for asking the club members about our concerns.
 
My biggest concern is CC&R, the antenna restrictions placed on ham  
operators, like me, who live in condos.  While broadcast, satellite TV  and wireless 
Internet antennas have Federal preemptions, ham radio antennas are  specifically 
not included.  Given the ongoing and well-received public  service activity 
by ham radio operators, perhaps the timing is  right to vote on including ham 
radio antennas in the FCC's list:
 
Preemption of Restrictions on Placement of Direct Broadcast Satellite,  
Multichannel Multipoint Distribution Service, and Television Broadcast  Antennas

I hope the ARRL would actively lobby to put ham radio accessibility on  equal 
footing with commercial providers.
