Hi,

By now, you've probably seen references to Time Magazine's offhand comment about Ham Radio being a casual and quirky old-fashioned hobby. Well, it has set off a storm of replies to Time itself as well as this series on the online blog-like website, SlashDot. Check out the comments, which are quite complimentary to Ham Radio (for the most part): http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=05/01/02/2343256&tid=215

For the Question of the Week (and first of this new year), scientists have predicted the east coast of the US will also be hit by a tsunami. They just don't say when. They cite faults under the Canary Islands as being prime for an upheaval. So, let's pretend it will happen in two months from now. What will you do? Are you prepared - and do you want to be?

73,
ERIC
