Usually "portable"means to me the HT attached to a more cumbersome (J-pole, ground plane, etc.) antenna hanging from a temporary support. In the same way (since my wife won't let me cut holes in the car) "mobile"means the HT with a speaker-mike and a decent magmount. -= Bill, KA1MOM =-
