Yes, it uses the DTR (pin 20) of the serial port to send CW for the operator.
It is safe to turn this off since we haven't made keyer connectors.
To turn CW keying Off:
Use the F5 key to bring up the Extras menu.
The choice "Edit CW Xmit Features" is the item two up from the default bottom
CANCEL option; UP UP ENTER should do it.
That menu has choices "COM1 Keys Radio" "COM2 Keys Radio" "NONE".
I bet yours is set to COM1.
You want to set it to NONE.
DOWN DOWN ENTER should do it.
Then you'll be in a "Hit ESC to Exit" menu that lets you set the CW calling
strings.
So Hit ESC to get back to the main program.
