[BARC-List] [Help] GPS s/w for PalmOS 5 (Sony Clie) w/voice prompts?

I have a PalmOS 5-based Sony Clie PEG-NX70V PDA and am planning to get a
GPS receiver soon (likely a Geko 201). I also have a powered serial cable
for the PDA, so all I would then need is a good navigational s/w package
with voice prompting (the Sony has a good speaker). I also have a Sony
128 Meg memory stick living in the PDA.

I am a big fan of Rand McNally's web site, which has always come through
for me, but it requires me to be at home to use it for obtaining
directions.

My need is street-level and some highway, so I can get around the Eastern
Mass (within 495 belt) area and be able to deal with detours (auto
re-routing). Then, when I get close, I need to know I am about there.
I'd use it mostly in my car, but possible also in my wife's, or bring it
with me on a trip if we rent a car or travel with someone else in some
else's car.

What experiences do people have with the various Palm 5 s/w packages for
city/street needs (as mentioned above)?

As an aside, I am also thinking about getting a Geko 201 receiver - WAAS
capable, has external power for car needs, is very portable and
cost-effective, and has a serial connector to talk to my PDA. It also
has the advantage of being portable enough I can take it with me anywhere
and not worry about scratching someone's car (or a rental) with a
mag-mount.

Thoughts and insights would be most helpful for s/w selection and GPS
experiences. Experiences with the Geko 201 also very much welcome.

Thanks to all.

Scott, WY1Z
