In early January, I plan to attend an ARRL sectional meeting at which the question will be asked, “What are the issues facing Ham Radio today?”
Of course, we know about BPL and condo covenants and restrictions. But what about frequency refarming, technical proficiency, our aging Ham population, spectrum protection and reassignment, and more.
This week’s question: Aside from these, WHAT are the issues facing Ham Radio as we move into 2005, and WHY are these important?
Alternatively, what are the issues that are important to YOU as a BARC member, a Ham Radio operator, and a responsible citizen with communications capabilities?
I will take your answers to the ARRL meeting, so give me explanations and reasons, please. This is not a vote, but please reply to the list so your answers will sparc [sic] others’ ideas. Let’s begin dialog and conversation.
73,
ERIC
