Hi, All. I received the following request from a friend of mine who
teaches the Coastal Piloting and the Celestial Navigation classes at the
Boston Museum of Science. Please, anybody who can help us with this, post
your replies either to barc-list or to <[email protected]>
Thank you all very much.

I am looking for someone - a ham maybe - familiar with the National Marine
Electronics Association instrumention protocol NMEA 0183, which specifies
how marine instruments communicate with each other. I am trying to figure
out how to take the output from my GPS and input it into my computer. I
have a program which isn't working. Do any of your BARC members and other
Hams know anything about this stuff? Thanks - Marty.
