Hi Brian,
Well, I am going to represent the ScQRPions and operate as KQ7RP from
Thunderbird Paseo Park, just off 59th ave North of Beardsly Rd on the back
side of the mountain in the saddle there is a small area with 2 verandas,
concrete tables and benches, some Port-O-Potties and room for antennas.
Usually uninterrupted except for a few hikers who wander though and ask
questions. I haven't been up there in about a month and am going up today
on my way to lunch just to check out the site again and see if there is any
AC available. I don't think so but who knows. Last year the site at the
entrance of the park was unused and had all the amenities including AC
available but was not used. If you are interested, let me know. I could
use a second op if you just want to operate without dragging out all the
gear of your own or if you would like to operate on one band while I was on
another that would work. If you want a taste of what it's like to be THE
station of interest, come join me as KQ7RP because my contacts are worth
10000 extra points! It could get real crowded real quick! ;>)
Let me know what you decide. No matter how you operate, its a blast.

Is this thing on?...

Anyway, I am seeking a collaborator or so for an
upcoming event called FYBO which is a (sort of)
winter field day at low power.

This will be 05 Feb (I think) and I can provide
my FT-817 and a couple laptops running TRLog
with which I am somewhat conversant.

I have never operated in this event, so I think
it would be fun.

I have no particular site in mind from which to operate.
