[Azden] PCS-7500H Dead Channels

I think that you had said that you recently purchased this radio. Have you opened it up to see if there is any obvious modifications done to it? The squelch control can be turned so that you hear a click, this is for the receive decode mode. Do not use this position unless you have the internal receive decoder board. It will be a CommSpec TS-32 board, I really doubt if you have it. If it is in your radio, it may be causing the problem.

When connecting an antenna I have several channels that go quiet,no busy
light or audio.Un-squelch and still quiet.I scanned these freqs with a
separate scanner and have no carriers, birdies, etc and channels sound normal.

When generating a signal on a suspect channel I get a busy light,s meter
reading but still no audio.Could have audio but I have a un-modulated sig
generator.

When removing the antenna the channel works normally.

I thought if I could re-boot to factory defaults I could at least eliminate
a software problem.

Any help from the group would be appreciated.
