      It is with a heavy heart that I must announce the passing of John Turner, KA7GLA, the morning of March 18th.  John lived in Sweet Home, OR., with his family.  John was a mentor, confidant, and close friend who I will dearly miss.  He was very active in Amateur Radio in the area, including membership in  the Enid Amateur Radio Club, work within the Oklahoma Section, and establishment of ARES Oklahoma,  before moving to California, and eventually to Oregon.  Services are pending.  I will forward further information as it becomes available.
