I live in the Houston, area and have a Kenwood TMD-700A... and
will be traveling to the OKC area in a few weeks. I am looking for
someone with a TMD-700A in the metro area who would be willing to e-mail
their program data files, with which I would then "clone" my radio,
using my laptop, upon arrival there.

I have a "ham radio" web site, where I have posted both a direct link to
the Kenwood TMD-700A program software server... AND also have my
complete southeast Texas program with all of the Houston area 2-meter
and 440 repeaters, including PL tones and text display. The instructions
are posted on the below web site.

There is no reason this procedure should be limited to Kenwood radios,
save for the requirement to purchase Icom and Yaesu program software.

I envision expanding the site for multiple radios as well as several of
the metropolitan areas around the country. Imagine being able to save
like data for 30 to 50 cities on a CD, if you're someone that does a lot
of traveling.

As a dealer... you could refer a new buyer to the web site, as a way in
which one could get a "jump start" on programming the radio!

My web site is a hobby. There is no advertising and never will be! You
can find the program information by "cursoring down" to the very bottom
of the front page.

Feel free to pass this along and/or post it in your store... especially
to someone who has a TMD-700A and are willing to "share" files.
