I have practically had to BEG to get our council to move this annual Fall
Camporee to the week preceding EVERY year to afford the boys the opportunity
to participate in JOTA..

Three of the last five years I have set up portable tower(s) and beams..

It is my intention to go chase a balloon in Tulsa this year as nobody has
asked or even casually mentioned JOTA.

This being a Scouting event, I would have thought that the Scout Council
would jump at the chance..

I also offered to rotate the JOTA event between districts so the same boys
would not be "Bored" by having it every year..

I would go to any council in the state on JOTA weekend if they would move
thier Fall camporee one week.. I understand the importance of showing the
boys just how much fun the amatuer hobby can be.
I am a well trained Scout leader

I feel better now..
