I got a little lazy this winter and left my hamster toys connected to the station ground war, the antennas, and also the wall outlet.
Having been warned that lightning is likely in less than 24 hours, I exercised caution and undid all these connections until the Sunshine State returns.
Once you see thunder and hear lightning, it takes only one Lucky Strike and you can let the smoke out.
