Well they have finally discovered Fred has a bacterial infection, 
stenotrophomonas maltophilia, in his lungs.  They have taken him off all the 
antibiotics they have been giving him intravenously.  They are treating it 
with an oral antibiotic.  They said it is one of oldest and cheapest 
antibiotics, sulfamethoxazole & trimethoprim.  He is doing a lot better. 
His incision is healing.  No pain, just a little soreness.  He has only 
coughed up blood one time since last night about midnight.   He is walking 
the halls and sitting up in a chair most of the day.  He may get to come 
home tomorrow!!!!!!
