Hi all:

We had a nice meeting last evening at which I led a discussion
about antennas, from the transmission line on.

We had eight at the meeting for sure, I failed to count and I saw
no sign in sheet. It rained heavily until the very last.

I talked about various uses of "quarter wave length long stubs"
the one thing that I failed to mention is these parallel line stubs
can just as easily, and they can actually perform better, using
coaxial cable.
In fact the "CANS" that makeup duplexers for repeaters can be made
with "quarter wave length long coaxial stubs" the biggest difference
is cavities can be easily tuned, stubs generally are cut and soldered
into being tuned and they pretty much stay that way.
I am mostly referring to 3" and larger coaxial cable here.
