[AReU] The November BARS Meeting

To those that missed the November BARS meeting I would have to say that
you missed a good one. We had many areas of interest mentioned and had
many activities listed for the remainder of the year and beyond. I don't
believe
that I have ever heard as large a  number of activities mentioned at a
single
meeting and I have plenty of meetings under my belt for reference!

We also had a great turnout and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
The donuts and coffee were exquisite Tom!!!!!!

I'll  have to admit that the one item that piqued my interest most was the
IOTA expedition proposed by Dan (W2NDP). He proposed a trip to Honeymoon
Island in January of February of 2004 to activate that island for the IOTA
program.
For those not familiar with this acronym it stands for ISLANDS ON THE AIR.
Previous announcements of the activation over the internet will hopefully
provide
a lot of pile ups for the operators. There are four on the committee to
arrange the
specifics for the event.
