Next Saturday is the BARS picnic!!!!!!!!=20

The weather these days is getting more and more pleasant and next=20
Saturday should be just perfect for a picnic.=20

Lunch will start at noon and the menu will be 8 oz. rib eye steaks =
(cooked=20
the way you like them-more or less), potato salad, baked beans, cold =
drinks=20
and cole slaw. All of this will be supplied ready to eat courtesy of =
BARS.=20

If anyone wants to bring some dessert, that will be fine.=20

I will purchase the food so please advise me by E-Mail or other devices =
how=20
many in each of your families will attend. This will be your only notice =
except=20
on the Monday night net so please try to get word to me before Thursday=20
night. That is when I will order the food. I need to get a rough number =
so that=20
I will have enough for everyone. I have never been known for having too =
little=20
food but you just never know.=20

I will bring my portable 6 meter rig with me and will set it up with a =
rotatable=20
dipole that I put together this weekend. Maybe 6 meters will cooperate =
and=20
we can work some DX.=20

The location will be at Davis Park. For those of you that need =
directions it is=20
on Parsons Avenue just North of the intersection of Victoria and =
Parsons. If=20
you turn North on Parsons Avenue from Highway 60, you will go the  =
traffic=20
light at Victoria and proceed north past the tan stucco wall on the West =
side=20
of Parsons Ave. Just past the Stucco wall is the entrance to Davis Park. =
There=20
is an Antique store sign just before the Davis Park sign that is much =
more=20
prominent and is a good landmark. Turn into Davis Park and go about one=20
quarter mile to the picnic pavilion which is next to the children's =
playground and=20
will be on your left. If you are coming South on Parsons Avenue and you =
can't=20
figure it out, just give a call on the Brandon Repeater and someone will =
direct=20
you in.=20

This is going to be a great get together folks. I am really looking =
forward to=20
seeing everyone there and having a good time.=20
