[AReU] AO40 downlink antenna testing

Looks like Saturday, February 16, 2002 will be the time for testing AO40 
downlink antennas at Davis Park in Brandon. Bring your BBQ grill dishes, 
Primestar dishes or other types as you desire. I think we can do a 
qualitative test of downconverters also. The equipment to do an absolute 
noise figure test will not be available. Bring whatever you have and 
we will patch together some way to test it. 

Davis Park is North of highway 60 on Parsons Avenue. Go North on 
Parsons Ave. from highway 60 past the railroad tracks and look for 
the Davis Park sign on your left. There is an antique shop sign that 
is easily spotted and the Davis Park sign is nearby. Turn into the park 
and go about .25 miles or so (very rough guess) until you see some 
strange people with sticks on their cars so as to resemble porcupines. 

If you don't have anything to bring then just bring yourself. We will 
welcome everyone as a long lost friend. Maybe you will get fired up 
to do a project you have been putting off and get on the radio more. 

We will come straggling in about 0900.
