If you have an AMPR.org email address you can do that.

telnet://n5vda.ampr.org is just one example of a packet BBS that will 
give you a working email address.  Mine is kc5fm at n5vda.ampr.org

http://www.fwarig.org is another BBS that offers a valid email address.
