Greetings;
In the small rural community in which I live plans are starting to build
a new small hospital. Where the hospital staff is cognizant of the role
amateur radio can play in the event of an emergency and most likely will
expect assistance from radio amateurs. Finally it dawn on me that as the
local ARES EC and RACES officer I should be contacting the planners to
insure space for an AR station is provided/planned for. The best I think I
could
reasonably expect is space with emergency power for the station along with,
the mounting of antennas and feedline routing provided for. Hopefully I
could find funds to have the antennas and feedline installed right away.
Anyone have tips on how to best approach the staff and/or how to write cash
grant requests to those who do provide grants locally? Thanks and 73.
