[ARC5] aircraft radio configuration

I have noticed that in general, when folks restore any mechanical contrivance, the last thing they worry about is the electrical and electronics systems.  This goes for classic car restorations, appliances, radios, aero- machines, you name it.  Electronics are the last thing considered and the first thing neglected.  As it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever!

Museums have been wrong about what dinosaurs looked like, but there are no reference materials. What is THEIR excuse?

I recently visited the air museum in Dayton.
When walking through one of the older Air Force One aircraft, I noticed two T-21/ARC-5 transmitters mounted next to each other.
Is this just a setup for show or would there be two transmitters in the same range in the same mount?
Another thing I noticed in the same aircraft was a cw key attached to the antenna and ground connectors on  BC-348.
What happened to accuracy in a museum?
