Well, I just couldn't do it.

As many of you know, the weather at Berryville could be categorized as
“deluge”. If fifty percent of the spaces were occupied, I'd be
surprised.

We were watching the weather all week and it looked to be clear until
around 10 or 11 AM on Sunday with perhaps some light intermittent showers.
Since most of the “good” transactions take place in the first few hours,
this was fine.

Phil, one of our club members, loaded the truck on Friday afternoon and
drove down on Saturday. I gave him three or four tarps to take along.
Phil said he had a big tarp for the back of the pickup and did we need the
additional tarps? I said “Humor me....”. The tarps were loaded.....

He overnighted in a hotel and arrived at the hamfest at 0600 to get two
good spaces for us. I was driving down with a buddy on Sunday morning with
a planned ETA of 0630 to 0700.

Getting up at 0330L the weather report said “rain”. Oh crud. Well, Phil
was already there, so off we went. Weather wasn't bad until about 30
minutes NE of Berryville, then it started with intermittent sprinkles.
 Oh Crud.

We were set up with several tables by 0700. Between 0700 and about 0815
there were intermittent sprinkles. Those tarps... yeah.... we needed
them. Foot traffic was light, but considering the weather.....

Around 0815 or so it stopped sprinkling... and just poured. A lot. We
called it at 0830 and loaded up everything for the trip back home.

So, Monday I was going to list the two gray receivers and the PS on eBay.
I thought about it and didn't do it. On Wednesday, after “himming and
hawing” for three days, I decided I just couldn't sell those three units.
They are in superb condition internally and the work great. The two
black units I was going to restore instead would be a challenge and they
might not work. Also, I have too many other projects in the wings and
adding two more receivers when I have two working ones, well, I decided
not to.

My gray RBA and RBC have cases. I took one of the cases from the early
model black receiver and am now using that for my gray RBB. Of course,
that case didn't have a hole for the IF output, so I had to make one....
easy to do.

I plan to put the two black RBB and RBC receivers on eBay as there has been
no interest from various lists or QTH.com for the gray ones. MIght put
them on FB Marketplace first.....
