Happy New Year, Colleagues!
Does anyone have a manual with sketches of the peculiar setup of the
BC-453-E with the C-570A/A control unit from the 1950s as used on the
KB-50 flying tanker (a deep modification of the B-29 Superfortress
bomber) and could share it?
The setup employed the C-570A/A control unit as evidenced in the
attachment (item #20). This control unit's shape resembled the early
ARC-3 remote control with Dzus fasteners. I wonder if it still used the
Bowden cable for tuning considering the distance from the KB-50 pilots'
overhead radio panel to the avionics bay.
