By the way, I suppose y'all have encountered the problem where the surface of some consumer electronics cases become sticky.  I have a little Grundig radio that suffered that problem, and I found that while rubbing alcohol applied with paper towels would not fix the problem, using cotton balls soaked in rubbing alcohol did clean up the sticky.  This left the case rather flat and lusterless but at least it is not still sticky.
