[ARC5] Looking for RT19/ARC-4 VHF radio

I think the best thing to do with an ARC-4 is to admire it. It is a Western Electric pre-war design, originally intended for the airlines, and was pressed into service until much better VHF radios were available.

An ARC-1 would seem to me to be the top of the WWII heap, plus they are much more common most places. I have several ARC-4s, but as Paul said, the Shipping would be prohibitive.

Nico

I have very nice ARC-4 but am here in Calif and the cost to ship to you would be as much as the cost of the radio..if not more.

Also from what I've read the ARC-4 was never a popular or great radio to use here on 2mtrs back in the day.

Best Regards

For my collection I'm looking for a RT19/ARC-4 transceiver. They where used in combination with the ARC5 but not for a long time.

There is one on Ebay but they don't ship it via their global shippig program.

Thanks,
