I think I bought my first milrad, a CPRC-26, from FR after I read an article on them in 73 mag in the mid-80s. IIRC, I paid $10 for it. Sigh.

And what came after that is now history.
Anyway, I have Fair catalogs going back to 1973.  And what made me wish for a time machine were those 1947 ads in QST, such as a complete brand new SCR-274-N installation for $39.95 from some place called Radio Shack.
