Good reference, Richard.
An easy way to think of electrically-short antennas
(less than 10 degrees in length) is to think of them as big,
leaky RF tank circuits.   There's more to it but I don't
feel up to a long post just now.  Not many people
care that much about MF anymore anyways, LOL.
