[ARC5] HF Converter - feeding mixer with a square wave?

    This is exactly what I have always thought. The definition of 
linear is that the output is exactly a duplicate of the input. 
Even having gain could be considered non-linear but that is sort 
of begging the question. If the output consists of frequency 
components NOT in the input the thing is by definition non-linear.
