[ARC5] DM-24 Question

I could be wrong but I think that the question that Hue was actually asking
could have been worded like this:

 

If someone had a BC-224-A that was missing the dynamotor, will a DM-24 fit
in place of the missing BD-94?  And if not, what will?

 

I already know that the RF gain pot for the -B and later is a bit of a chore
to make work as it is longer than the more expensive original.

Only electrically, Hue.  The original is contained in a stainless steel box.

exterior of the assembly.  Inside the box is an ancient frame design, with
protruding bearing carriers and solid cast end bells.  The manual photo
shows this:
