Maybe a fair number were sold overseas postwar.
Recently I read that the German WWII production of the tank radio pair 10W.S.c. and Ukw.E.e. were about 150,000 units.
I was astounded by this number, as the number of German tanks was around 29,000 total.
You would think a lot are still around. They are not real rare, but there must have been a high attrition. But I still don't
understand that production figure.
I think BC-654 production was around 53,000 and yet they don’t seem to be so common either. Yes, you can buy them,
but they're not continuously on Ebay.

Subject: [ARC5] BC-611 production numbers
Hi All,
I've been looking at some BC-611s and the serial numbers are interesting. All F models, from Galvin and Electrical Research Labs. Isee a Galvin S/N of 28,611 and an ERL of 36020. If those even reflect the total number oa all models built by each company that's over 60,000, a really huge quantity. Every Mil radio collector should have a closet full.
Any thoughts?
73,
Clare N2RJB
