[ARC5] Talking to Airplanes From the Ground

The BC-654 doesn’t have a pack - it has a carrying strap. You could sling it like a musette bag, which you would have to sling if wearing the BC-1306 in its pack. There are canvas covers for the radio and dynamotor for the vehicle set up, but the only thing they really do is trap moisture inside the equipment and hasten the electronics going bad. It sucks to hump either set. Both sets have an accessory bag, antenna bag, generator bag, and remotes ( although remotes are not essential ). Both have receivers that can run on purpose made batteries. Both need a bulky and heavy hand cranked generator in order to transmit.
