I have to disagree. I have hefted a lot of both sets, but not through the jungle, which would be worse.
The 1306 & TRC-2 have a much narrower form factor and their center of mass is more concentrated. 
The BC-654 in its pack is more wide and unwieldy at best. Those are the reasons for use in the more critical
employments I listed in my recent post. A question to think about: which would you rather pack, at a 
fast clip, along twisty forest paths?
