Interesting you bring up August, a good friend. I have been to his place many times and you are right. All his mil stuff was essentially mint. BTW, the German trench crystal set I mentioned in a previous post, I got from August sometime in the mid 70’s, when I was out there on business, and went to see him for the first time. Good point, Mike, I missed that.

I did a trade with August Link around 1985 and got a stock of them 

for myself. As you would expect from Link's material, these were all 

NIB.
