I have a relatively new Rheem Heating unit. My HVAC installer knows that I use a generator to power the unit and recommended using one that has good 60 cycle regulation because it could shut down if the frequency deviated from 60Hz. I choose a Honda 2200 inverter unit because I don't want to lose heat during a winter storm.
