[ARC5] SCR-522, AN-ARC-3 Crystal "Suitcase."

If you've never seen one of those "suitcases" used to organize crystal
sets for the SCR-522 and AN/ARC-3, here's one.  I haven't worked on
cosmetic restoration of it yet.  It's double sided; close the lid, turn
it over and there's another lid with a bunch of crystals.  Red-marked
for transmit, green for receive.

There are no "official" markings; only a few pencil and pen notes made
by hams.  It's obviously "home-brew," made of plywood.  Two sheets of
clear "perspex" (?) are drilled with pairs of holes to hold the crystal
sets.   Some are missing, of course, but most pairs are there.  They
range from 100.16 MC to 154.1 MC.   After all these years, they've
drifted for any number of reasons.  The operating frequency of many can
be off as much as 30 KC.  That didn't matter a lot when the selectivity
of such a set for usable comm signals might be as wide as 100 KC.  That
"slack" still works for casual air traffic listening today, but if one
wishes to transmit (on Two Meters- oh of course), one will need
something better.
