About Bakelite:

In my experience any soapy cleaner will dull a Bakelite surface, and
Windex does it, too.

Plain old Carnuba car wax will bring back just he right amount of shine
and seems very durable, too.

A few hours soak in Simple Green will make the crudiest Bakelite knob shine like new, but will eat the surface right off of a hard rubber knob. Mike, W6MAB
