Ken Corwin's excellent article says "BC-348-C receivers remanufactured
to add the LF band have two nameplates: The original 3" x 2" BC-348-C
nameplate, applied by RCA at the time of manufacture, and a 2" x 1-1/2"
BC-348-S nameplate, applied in the upper
right hand corner of the front panel by Belmont Radio at the time of
remanufacture. The serial numbers on the two
nameplates are usually different."
