[ARC5] AC Motor Start Caps as Filters

If the engineer had not laughed, I would be less skeptical about his statement. My 'common sense' understanding was that they would be okay  to stand the peak of the AC.
Peak to peak value or double for DC doesn't make intuitive sense.

The engineer laughed and said the practical dc rating would be something like four times the peak of the rms ac rating.
