The FM SCR receivers all topped out at around 48 MHz IIR.
The BC-1000 topped at 50 MHz and was wideband FM.

The German 150 MHz packset, Feldfunk C ( I think that was the name ) used a superregenerative receiver.
You know what that means in terms of selectivity, right?
It seems from the examples that around 50 MHz was around tops for continuously tunable narrow
band communications equipment.

>The Low-VHF band FM receivers used in the SCR-508/608 were tunable rather than crystral controlled, although the transmitters were crystal controlled.

The BC-1000 was VFO controlled for both the receiver and transmitter.

I understand that the Germans had a portable 100MHZ VHF set used for short range infantry com.
