[ARC5] BC-348R - fair price?

My old hamfest buddy bought a BC-348 for $5.00 one time.  It was on the 
"club table"and the guy who donated it made a big deal about how heavy 
it was, and how happy we was to get rid of it. This was probably 25 
years ago, so well before 'eBay pricing' but it was a bargain to be 
sure.     This other guy who'd waltzed up saw the $5 change hands 
started raising hell about how he stole it and how it was owrth more 
than that and on and on.    He followed us out to our table after my 
buddy told him it would be for sale.   Whereupon he took out a pen, 
crossed out the $5 and wrote $100 on the tag, and of course the guy went 
nuts all over again. His interest in what might be called fair pricing 
seemed to depend on who was doing the buying.

Hamfests are your best entertainment value ;-)
