Hi Brooke,
I suspect Bendix was happy to pay patent royalties, to Lorenz, to Federal
and to whomever, to get useful technology. Bendix seems to have had a
well-planned avionics strategy in the 1930s - maybe Kruesi's doing? It
certainly paid off in WW II.
