Bob,

It was some 10+ years ago I was intending to get on that low band, but I do remember reading about the challenges. 

Yes, ERP is effective radiated power, and I remember guys with strong audio(?) amps and big loading coils of 3/8 inch copper tubing.  

Let me see-a pair of 833As with 2500 volts plate supply ,,,
