[ARC5] [External Sender] Re: Battery Report

In the '50s, Ray-0-Vac had steel case flashlight batteries, claimed not 
to leak. Their guarantee said they would replace your damaged flashlight 
if their leaking batteries caused the problem.

I never saw such a guarantee for any other kind of equipment,

 From the same article that said the bias cells were 1 Volt, in the back 
pages they said some were 1.25 Volt. I seem to recall that the 
schematics I've seen said 1 Volt.

It also said "Today, Duracell is a division of The Gillette Company."

The radio I have experience with is a 1936 Philco model 604 5 tube 
transformer powered.
