Well, as I remember it, they cost Uncle Sam $2500.00 each in 1942. That equates to 
$38,954.78 in 2018 dollars.

Anyone have better figures than I do?

I had an RBB/RBC pair many years ago. I absolutely loved them for CW traffic handling. 
The audio limiter in those things is the best I have ever, EVER used. It is absolutely 
amazing.

I ran full-QSK with a pair of 813s in a TechRad T-350XM using separate antennas, one for 
the transmitter and another for the receivers. The audio signal level of my 750 watts was no 
louder in my headphones than the station I was working at the time.
