[ARC5] B-17 Crash Near Hartford CT

Hi Mike - That corresponds with the stories I heard at the NTS.  It was
sold as-is, where is, for scrap by the Gov.  A group looked it over and
replaced the control surfaces, basic instruments, tires, key rubber and
engine parts etc.  They got a one-time FAA ferry permit to fly it to
McCarren in Las Vegas.  I think the group put it into firefighting service
before it was returned to its previous military appearance by subsequent
owners.  I'm sure the Interwebs have the complete story.

BTW there is a really nice P-47 also out there in the desert. (but that one
is still cooling off in Area 10)...
