Easy solution: Buy commercial rough service incandescent lamps rated at 130 Volts! They will last for many years. A few in my house lasted over 12 years or more from original installation/construction.

Funny thing, I was want to add a 1N4005 diode in cords and lamp fixtures, etc. It was quite amazing how the life of incand. bulbs was extended. No inrush, although less lumins, of course. A 100w would last 2-3 years as an outside night light. They used to sell "bulbsaver" socket disks.

Agreed. I replaced all incandescents with LED lights and did not noticeably
increase the noise level. If I stay up late the noise level gets quite decent
even if I have every light on. But then again, I tested them. Find LED bulbs
on sale and take one home to test. If it is an RFI emitter, return it. If
quiet, buy a pile of them.

I really like the LED bulbs as they are extremely reliable and I can leave the
place all lit up without having an outsized electric bill. The early LED bulbs
didn't live up to their life claims but I haven't had to replace a bulb in at
least a couple years now while previously I was replacing one or two
incandescents each month.

I had an enormous amount of noise on 80m which proved to be due to LED lighting in the house.
When I turned off all the lights except for one known to be the old incandescent type, the level
dropped to S5.

I think it depends on the CFL or LED light: our home is full of them, and I have zero noise
from any of them. I went around our home to each light fixture with a portable all band radio,
and found nothing from any of them unless the antenna was touching the light. Even then,
the noise was minimal.

In fact, I have given up on trying to even FIND incandescent lamps any more.

However, our middle son once built a hot-rod computer using the cheapest parts he could
find. The 600 watt computer power-supply output the worst noise I have ever expernenced. I
bought him a new top-grade power supply and used his as a target for some 7.62 X 54R

Other folks, like you, have reported terrible amounts of noise from LED and CFL "bulbs".

I have no idea what is the difference.
