There is something very odd going on here…
I apparently won the auction, but per some email I received via another email account I have, someone created an account for me on July 9th.
That account apparently bid against me to raise the bid level.
I also have an esnipe account that was apparently not involved – as far as I can tell.
I looked at the bidding, and I had to be super fast to win this one…
REALLY? I wouldn’t normally pay a third of this amount for this unit.
Perhaps I should gold-plate it?

Based on what I am seeing, this is wrong.
The OTHER eBay account was linked to my Google account login.
I have since disconnected it from Google and changed the login password.
I may need to delete it completely.
What do you folks think?
I am not into fraud stuff, and am thus quite confused.
I went ahead and paid the price, since my address was associated with all of this, but I am obviously concerned…
I have changed a lot of passwords, etc., today, but this is BAD.
Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated.

Probably in that back aisle where my son, granddaughter and I found the hoard of BC-450As the day before we went to Xenia this year. Interestingly, that's also the aisle where our Radiation Pagers would not stop alarming...? Could not ID the source(s) of the radiation - no doubt there are multiple Radium paint sources back there. Ah, the Good Old Days...
Also possibly interestingly, I was probably the only other bidder on the subject private auction and today I received an invite to a second chance to buy the guy's "other" NIB power adapter, which I did. It's only money, guys...
Have fun and remember to write if you get work.

Youcan get a used raw rack connector from Fair radio, but you have call and ask for Phil. He has some in the back room somewhere.
Just attach the speaker and power wires and you have a very compact quick connect for bench testing.
( doesn't scrape the sides either)

Well, if one considers that the value of that thing back in 1960 was about $10.00, then he,
essentially, paid $11.94 for it. Just take the price you see listed and move the decimal point
one place to the left to get the actual value.
Our money isn't worth very much these days. Even so, I don't have much of it.

Me too/either.
