I haven't tried that mic but the main differences between the TCS and the
Command Sets as far as the mic circuit is concerned is that the Command Sets
derive the mic bias from the 24 VDC heater line whereas the TCS, which
sometimes uses AC for the heaters derives it from the modulator cathodes. I
would try something between 100 and 1000 pf across the TCS mik jack.
Otherwise, I would have suspected that the Command Set would have been more
susceptible than the TCS due to the cable between the modulator and the
remote.

Been telling myself to try one of these Motorola
TMN6054A mics as many have recommended for, oh,
about 25 years. Finally ordered one to try. It
works well with the 24V SCR-274N, but it
motorboats when I try to use it on the 12V TCS.
If I yell into it, the motorboating will stop,
but then start again next key. Anyone
investigated this? Probably a look at both mic
circuits side-by-side would tell but maybe someone
has already looked at this?
