[ARC5] Silver dial?

I have a BC-455-B with that same "recap" job in it.  The ID plate says it was an RCAF unit.  A smaller ID plate says "Modification No. B2".  A sticker applied on the other side of the set says "Reconditioned by Canadian Aviation Electronics, Oct 20 1955".  Perhaps that was a standard refurb or is it possible that late versions of these radios came from the factory with those Tiny Chief cap boards??
